Just 5 minutes of exercise a day

If you don’t use it – you’ll lose it. One of the best things you can do for your body is move. The more you move the more you strengthen all of your muscles – including your brain and heart.

Did you know that sitting all day without moving is actually worse for you than smoking?

You can sprint if you want to….

According to a 2018 study at an Australian University, two minutes of exercise at a high intensity in the morning may be just as good for you as 30 minutes of exercise. Plus, moving boosts your serotonin levels and puts you in a happy mood the rest of the day. You’ll jump start your metabolism and lose weight more easily.

Working out in the morning helps get it done…

From personal experience, getting my workout done in the morning means I’m 99% more likely to get up and do it. If I don’t, I get caught up in client work, conversations, calls from my Mom… And… I find if I don’t get that morning exercise in – I crash in the afternoon and really stop being productive.

Make It a Habit

My challenge to you is to get up and do a 3 minute warm up (walking) and then two minutes of heart pumping exercise within a half hour of getting up. You’ll set the tone for the rest of the day — in just 5 minutes.

It’s doesn’t matter how you move… I love to dance!

Some ideas are jumping jacks, jump roping, pushups, jogging in place, jogging down your driveway, squats, running up and down your stairs. Personally, I just turn on the music and DANCE. Whatever it is that you do, do it at full intensity for just two minutes. You can exercise more later, but this is just something you do upon rising each day before you have your coffee or get ready for the day.

Big Benefits ALL Day Long

The benefits of working out like this each morning are that you’ll feel more energetic all day long, you’ll be more alert, focus better, and due to all that, be a lot more effective in whatever you need to do. Making the workout only five minutes long, including warm-up and the high-intensity two-minute workout, helps eliminate any excuses because you don’t need any equipment, gym, or set up to do this fast workout. But, one thing is clear, it will set you up for a much more successful day.

Let me know if you give it a try.
