Lauren is a career design coach, helping women get unstuck in their careers. She is also a LinkedIn Expert & Trainer, a professional resume writer and a specialist in digital careers. The motto at her business, Tyche Career Coaching, is “You CAN have it all – and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!”

Like many of us who start a business, Lauren started her’s due to a bad experience when she needed coaching and decided, “You know what? I can do a better job myself!”

She wanted the focus to be on the ‘design’ aspect of career changing, where you are in the driving seat, especially when women get to mid-career and decide that this is not what they want to be doing. But what do I do next? Often they are not comfortable talking about themselves, and often say they don’t know what they want to do.

The first choice is whether they want just a career pivot (still doing what they do but maybe in a different role), or a complete career change (doing something else). Once they decide that it becomes easier to decide what that change should be.

Lauren talks about the introduction of digital tools, including AI, into the career process and what skills will be needed in the next few years, and the tools she uses to find her clients.
